Vermillion, S.D. (April 11, 2014) – In March of 2013, the Vermillion Area Chamber and Development Company, with the support of the City of Vermillion, Puetz Corporation, Eagle Creek Software Services, and First Dakota National Bank, broke ground on the Vermillion Technology Center. After over one year of planning and construction, these entities are coordinating the final touches on the venture.
The Vermillion Technology Center, which is being erected on the corner of Princeton and Bower Streets near Hy-Vee, Walmart and Polaris, is in its last phase of construction. The Vermillion Technology Center will be the new home of Eagle Creek Software Services, the leader in onshore information technology services, which is expected to bring up to 200 jobs to Vermillion.
With 32,092 square feet and modern appeal, the building will be aesthetically pleasing and multi-functional when completed. The entrance to the Vermillion Technology Center’s front doors will open into a large reception area which will lead into two wings. The building boasts significant natural light, a spacious open-floor plan, a large break room, a training room, and more than a dozen private offices and meeting rooms.
“Eagle Creek Software Services, along with the jobs it will bring, is a great addition to Vermillion, & this new building is a sign of great things to come,” says Nate Welch, Executive Director of the Vermillion Area Chamber and Development Company.
Due to community growth, the Vermillion Technology Center is being constructed to help bridge the gap between supply of buildings and demand for business space in Vermillion. Completion date for the Vermillion Technology Center is set for mid-May with a grand opening scheduled for June.
